Health, Safety, Environmental, Engineering & Quality (HSEEQ) statement

It is our policy to organise and maintain, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe working arrangements and to protect the environment from unnecessary damage whilst we achieve strong profit growth by being our customers’ most trusted utilities services partner always delivering a safe, right first time service. We will provide such information and training as is necessary to enable these objectives to be achieved.

To that end we undertake to comply with relevant health and safety and environmental legislation, operate an effective integrated HSEEQ management system and continually review and improve that management system with quality and excellence as our ultimate goal, in order that we will continually improve our service to our customers.

In particular, we will actively manage our two key current health and safety areas of focus:

  • Safe undertaking of excavations to reduce damages to utilities
  • Safe use of vehicles

And our key environmental impacts which are:

  • Excavated materials
  • Energy Usage

It is the responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer to ensure that this policy is effectively implemented.

All of our employees and contractors have a role to play in making our HSEEQ management system a success. We will bring this policy and the organisation and arrangements that support it to their attention and we expect that they will read, understand and comply with the guidance provided. We will also require employees and contractors to bring to our attention any matter that may impair our ability to meet the commitments made in this policy statement.

We are committed to promoting good health, safe behaviour and care for the environment and we expect everyone to contribute to this goal. We will actively contribute to excellence in health, safety, environmental, engineering and quality management wherever we work, displaying a professional attitude at all times.

We will ensure that this policy is reviewed on a regular basis, at least annually, and that due consideration is given to changes in legislation, practice and to the continuous improvement of the HSEEQ management system.
