Inspection and Maintenance

Inspection and Maintenance

We want to make your life easier and helping you avoid commercial downtime and adhere to current health and safety standards is a good example of how we do just that.

Why trust us?

With our extensive experience and expertise, together with our GIRS and Gas Safe accreditation, we're ideally placed to provide you with the peace of mind offered by our Inspection and Maintenance service for outlet pipework (the pipework that's often forgotten but which runs from your meter to your commercial appliances or boiler).

Adhering to recommended practice

The IGEM (Institute of Gas Engineering Managers) UP/2 (Inspection & Maintenance) standard states that businesses should have a full maintenance plan drawn up for all downstream outlet pipework and that it should be supported by an annual inspection to ensure that the pipework is correctly maintained.

This isn't just red tape but sound business advice that helps avoid the disruption to your service of unplanned maintenance works which are forced on you or worse, which are a result of a health and safety incident.

We keep the process simple. Our experienced Gas Safe registered engineers will carry out a detailed inspection including photographic evidence of the condition of the pipework, analysis of welds, isolation valves and checking for gas leaks.  We'll then provide you with a report of our findings together with any advice necessary regarding remedial action if required to ensure that your pipework complies with legal, commercial and health and safety requirements and, importantly, that you avoid the unexpected disruption.

Free gas pipework "M.O.T" safety check

Our free "pipework M.O.T" service for industrial, and commercial businesses and public sector organisations is designed to provide professional support to Health & Safety Officers and Maintenance Management staff in ensuring their company is meeting IGEM Standard guidelines by checking the soundness of gas outlet pipework.

Under the safety standard, gas pipework should be inspected to make certain it has not been compromised over time by, for example, corrosion, recently-added building extensions, building layout-changes, additional pipework or simple neglect. Our pipework check helps you avoid any potential for sudden disruption to your business due to gas pipeline condition issues and provides an opportunity for pre-emptive identification of anything that could lead to a more serious health and safety incident.
