The Project
Fulcrum was commissioned to install services and GC4 gas meter
kiosks to three new restaurants, 'Balans', 'Wahaca' and 'Jamie's
Italian' as part of a redevelopment project within the Bluewater
Plaza.
About The Site
Bluewater is Europe's largest retail and leisure destination. It
opened in 1999 and is located among 50 metre high cliffs, and
surrounded by a landscape of lakes, parkland and trees.
Our Approach
Bluewater approached Fulcrum to install gas to three new
restaurants - 'Balans', 'Wahaca' and 'Jamie's Italian'. The
customer selected Fulcrum as they required a partner who could
deliver the fast turnaround necessary to meet the project's overall
schedule. As this was a technically complex project with
engineering difficulties, including roof top meter positions and
welded steel mains, we completed an initial site meeting to discuss
specific requirements and survey the works.
The Technical Part
Fulcrum installed over 60 metres of low pressure steel gas
service pipe from the existing gas mains, which terminated in three
separate GC4 kiosks to supply the three new restaurants 'Balans',
'Wahaca' and 'Jamie's Italian'.
A Dedicated Delivery
Field Officer, Richard Hooper:

retailers by October 14th 2011. With close supervision
and excellent communication between Operations and our head office
in Sheffield, together with the full cooperation of our service
providers and their workforce, the works were completed to our
customer's expectations, on time."
