Our Approach
We worked closely with our customer VINCI Construction UKduring
the week long works to ensure we delivered to their preferred
timescales at each stage of this prestigious project.
The Technical Part
Fulcrum were required to complete gas disconnections to the four
existing services supplying gas to Fulham Palace and the
surrounding Bishops Park while the regeneration works were carried
out.
Fulcrum then installed approximately 83m of 63mm gas mains and
over 65m of 32mm gas service pipe to supply the newly regenerated
Club House, Ground Stable block, café, Palace adventure playground,
Old Rainbow Play Hut and Gothic Lodge.
A Dedicated Delivery
Field Operations Manager Gary Priestnall:
"Although this wasn't a technically difficult job, the developer
was carrying out all the excavations on site which required a large
amount of co-ordination.
I met with VINCI Construction UK to walk the site prior to the
project commencing. It was agreed that the works would be completed
during a five day period, in a specified order that met with the
archaeological conditions. All excavations were carried out under
the eye of an archaeological surveyor who was on site throughout to
sample the ground for items of interest.
The project was completed as agreed, apart from Gothic Lodge
which was delayed when the archaeological surveyor stopped works
when items of interest were discovered. We returned to site the
following week to complete the project once the surveyor had given
the site clearance to continue excavations."
