Powering Gull Wing Bridge
Appointed by main contractor Farrans, Fulcrum Group company, Maintech Power, designed and installed High Voltage infrastructure to support the operation of the fully opening Gull Wing Bridge, in Lowestoft. The bridge will be the third crossing over Lake Lothing and has been commissioned by Suffolk County Council to provide improved connections between the north and south of the town.

True end-to-end project delivery
Liaising with the Distribution Network Operator, UK Power Networks, Fulcrum Group company, Maintech Power, secured the electrical connection for the site to enable the project to be delivered within the timescale set within the bridge’s wider construction programme.
Fulcrum Group company, Maintech Power, worked in close collaboration with Farrans, its supply chain and UK Power Networks to deliver this project on time and on budget, ensuring the infrastructure was in place.
Gull Wing bridge is a very important project for our company.
