Once again, we worked with superfast charging network, Fastned, to design, build and deliver the electricity infrastructure needed to power their new charging hub in Hamilton - currently the biggest charging hub in Scotland.
Dunamis designed and built a bespoke 11kV substation, connected to a 1500 kVA transformer that feeds the eight 300 kW charge points. We future-proofed the capacity of the infrastructure to enable extended support up to 12 ultra-rapid bays in future.
We delivered the infrastructure to power the charging station from initial design through to construction in the desired time frames.
Benefits delivered
- Established partnership delivering design and build efficiencies.
- Future-proofed supply to support up to 12 ultra rapid bays.

Fastned’s mission is to accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility by giving freedom to electric drivers. Our new station in Hamilton is another important milestone on the way to realising that mission, as we look to build a network of 1,000 EV charging stations across Europe.
Working with proactive and experienced partners is essential if we are to achieve that goal and we were delighted to work with Dunamis once again.
